How to find the Key of any song with Virtual DJ

Just by loading a track in one of the decks, Virtual DJ will make an analysis of the Key, the BPM, and the audio spectrum of the track that you can see graphically.

In this image you can see the Key of the song in the deck data. However, you should know that this data is only available in the Essentials, Pro and Performance layouts, but not in the Starter layout.

This is important to know especially for mashups, or mixes in which melodic parts of both tracks are played at the same time. For this mix to sound good, they must have the same key.

It also happens with acapella vocals. To mix an acapella with another song they must be in the same key.

With the latest versions of Virtual DJ we can isolate the vocals of a track very easily and live. To make it sound nice and clean you have to be careful and maybe use the filter, but again, for the mix to be nice, besides playing it in the right tempos, it must be in the same key.
